clinic 2015

L to R: Marisa, Frazer, Anthony, Haylei, Leah, Melissa, Kiefer

Welcome! This is the Pace University ePolicy Clinic blog and we are the Spring 2015 clinicians! This semester we are working as individuals and as teams to solve environmental problems and implement sustainable projects!

This semester we are focusing on three topics. The Energy Team is working with the town of Ossining to construct a DC photovoltaic solar canopy system on their Metro-North parking lot.  The system would be a cost-effective solar power generating investment, a reflection of the Village of Ossining’s commitment to sustainability, and a model for other Metro-North train stations in the State of New York.

The Plant and Wildlife team is partnering with Westchester Land Trust and the Department of Transportation to research wildlife crossings. The team will also continue the Plant Don’t Plant Campaign by distributing native species guides those interested in the issue of invasive species.

The Food Justice Team is working alongside Pace University’s Chartwells to improve and enhance on the dining experience, seeking to engage students and faculty to forge a sustainable food model.
